Naruto is a franchise that continues to hit the home base with many fans, despite the original characters growing up and meeting their childhood goals. With Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, fans will get some inside views into their cherished characters' lives as they deal with new challenges and enemies who wish for chaos.

Regardless of one's feelings for the Boruto storyline, many fans still revisit Naruto's past journey for memory's sake. Despite being a series meant to motivate fans, the franchise contained one-liners that left fans laughing.

10 Naruto: "My Hobby Is Eating Different Kinds Of Ramen And Comparing Them."

Naruto's Introduction

Although Choji has Naruto beat regarding anime characters who love food as much as Goku, he's a ninja who enjoys a nice, hot meal before going on missions with his team. Naruto's love for ramen is a trope many fans know him for, and it wouldn't be farfetched to think Naruto wouldn't like sharing his adoration for the meal with others.

Naruto recites the quote above when introducing himself to Team Seven from sharing his likes to his favorite activities. Despite Naruto also mentioning his wishes to become Hokage someday, he couldn't help but share a blurb about ramen.

9 Rock Lee: "Okay, If I Can Catch All Twenty Of Those Leaves Before They Hit The Ground, Then Sakura Will Fall In Love With Me. But If I Cannot, Then She Will Never Return My Feelings!"

Rock Lee's Determination For Sakura

Although Rock Lee surpassed many characters in the Naruto franchise, he couldn't defeat Sasuke when winning Sakura's heart. From fans' first glance at Lee during Naruto, people knew that Lee was an excellent fighter, hard worker, and comedian.

Humor aside, Lee loves dedicating his time to training whenever he gets the chance, and Might Guy makes sure his pupil gets the time he needs. While in the Forest of Death, Lee decided to challenge himself by catching every leaf falling from the trees and used his feelings for Sakura to fuel his motivation.

8 Madara: "What Adult Goes Full Force While Fighting Mere Children?"

Madara Mocking The Fiva Different Kage

Despite the many things fans don't know about Madara Uchiha, fans know he was a ruthless, chaotic threat to every ninja in the Shinobi world, including his former friend Hashirama Senju. Considering Hashirama was a rival to Madara Uchiha and paved the way for future ninja in Naruto, it's believable that Madara would want to challenge the new generation.

After decimating most of the ninja against him during the Fourth Great Ninja War, Madara fought, obliterated, and mocked the five respective Kage during said war. The above quote shows Madara's lack of respect toward the five Kage, who he deems are mere kids.

7 Might Guy: "Run Into The Setting Sun. Run And Suffer. But Don't Mess Up Your Hair!

Mighty Guy And Lee Moment

Might Guy may be a goofball, but he's someone who can go toe to toe against powerful rivals like Kakashi Hatake and formidable enemies like Madara Uchiha. Fans may not know some details about Guy, but they know that he wasn't a pushover in fights or training his team, especially Rock Lee.

Guy and Lee are two peas in a pod in the Naruto franchise, but Guy doesn't take Lee lightly when he commits unruly acts. After fighting Sasuke, Lee gets scolded by Guy for starting a fight and gets a slap to the face as punishment. However, Guy reconciles with Lee swiftly and shares the above quote with Lee to motivate him to train.

6 Kakashi: "Sorry I'm Late Guys, I Got Lost On The Path Of Life."

Kakashi's Late Meme

Kakashi Hatake isn't a shinobi who adores having pupils who whine and complain, but he's also a sensei who has some reckless behavior. The above quote is an example of how fans may judge Kakashi's authority over students considering he isn't too bright.

Despite putting his students through challenging exercises, Kakashi's slacked before, and it shows in his sarcastic, laid-back speech patterns and body gestures. On the other hand, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto learn that Kakashi's training sessions don't match how he approaches minuscule tasks like meeting deadlines.

5 Jiraiya: "I Am Not A Pervert, I Am A Super Pervert!"

Pervy Jiraiya Moment

Jiraiya is one of the legendary sannin, and Jiraiya can defeat many characters in the Naruto universe; his biggest threats came down to his former student Nagato and his attraction to ladies. Nagato aside, Jiraiya couldn't fight his temptation concerning attractive women and wasn't afraid to let his perverted feelings out there.

One of the hilarious stunts Jiraiya pulled occurred during his adventures with Naruto, which led him toward more women to gawk over. Naruto was fed up with his master's ways and even called Jiraiya out by calling him a pervert. Jiraiya didn't care for Naruto's words and had no problem reciting the above quote in response.

4 Kiba: "I've Got News For Ya: I'm Gonna Be Hokage."

Kiba Says He'll Be Hokage

Not only can't Kiba defeat Naruto characters like Naruto or Sasuke, but he's also someone who may not ever become the Hokage, despite the jokes and one-liner he shared with Naruto during the Chunin Exams. Kiba can gain impressive victories over many powerful ninjas during his time; he's someone that likes to underestimate his opponent.

During the Chunin Exams, Kiba felt defeating Naruto to be a cinch and believed he and Akamaru could take out the knucklehead ninja with ease and mocked his dreams stating he'll become Hokage.

3 Sasuke: "First Thing In The Morning And They're Already Driving Me Nuts."

Sasuke's Fed Up With Everything

Although Sasuke's gone through some change since his days as a Team 7 member, he still has this serious mindset he likes to maintain when fighting powerful ninjas or training pupils like Boruto. Not only does this behavior of Sasuke lead him down a treacherous path, but it shows how detached he felt from his comrades.

Sasuke shares the above quote during Sakura and Naruto's little bickering. Sasuke wasn't pleased with how his comrades acted toward one another, and it showed in the above message and his body language. With that in mind, one can understand why Sasuke felt the way he did about his teammates.

2 Hashirama: "I'll Deal With You Later!"

Hashirama Scolds Madara

Hashirama and Madara's relationship wasn't always doom and gloom, as both characters were great friends who had each other's back. Due to unlikable circumstances, the two men's ties ripped apart, which led to each having a non-stop conflict with one another, even when dead. During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Hashirama managed to regain life again and headed into the war with the previous Hokage after him.

Considering Madara and Hashirama's long-time rivalry, it makes sense for Madara to acknowledge his rival. What Madara didn't expect was to get a mean-spirited comment from Hashirama. It not only leads to Madara's hilarious facial reaction but it's possible redemption for Madara harming Hashirama's granddaughter, Tsunade.

1 Sakura: "I Love You, Naruto."

Sakura Lying To Naruto

Although Sakura's likability as a character is up in the air with many Naruto fans, many agree that her "I love you" response to Naruto was humorous, considering Naruto also knew Sakura wasn't telling the truth. Sakura's love for Sasuke grew deep, and it's something that fueled Naruto's decision to convince Sasuke to come back before the events of Naruto Shippuden.

Although it could be commendable for Sakura to lie to Naruto as a way for him to stop pursuing Sasuke, Naruto developed more reasons for wanting Sasuke back outside of his promise to Sakura. Moreover, Sakura's "I love you" response will never escape the minds of fans and Naruto himself.
